I have often chafed against the expectations that comes with my name. Far from serene or tranquil, I use my art as a way to confront this friction—the space between who I’m perceived to be and who I truly am—and to explore the search for the serenity that continually eludes me.

My name is Serena Conway, I’m an Australian-Turkish self-taught artist whose work combines mythology, symbolism, and contemporary design to create bold and visually striking pieces. My first official dive into the art world was in 2022 at Bodrum Art Fair, where I showcased a variety of pieces and had the opportunity to discuss my art with a lot of different individuals. This experience helped me decide to take the leap and become a full time artist. Over the past few years, I have focused on developing collections that explore a diverse range of styles and subjects, reflecting my evolving inspirations. Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, I draw from timeless myths, personal emotional experiences, and the tension between perception and reality.

At its core, my art is an invitation—to look beyond the surface, explore the layers of symbolism and emotion within each piece, and find a moment of connection while reflecting on your own journey of transformation.
